Dave Turner: P.Eng, MBA, CRSP, CMSP

          Dave Turner has practiced occupational health and safety for 35 years.  Dave has industrial experience in mining, construction and chemical manufacturing, as well as in regulation.  A professional mining engineer, Dave has trained mine rescue personal in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories and has designed many rescue scenarios, for mines, pulp mills and municipalities.

            As a safety professional in the chemical industry in Ontario, Dave worked closely with the Ontario emergency Measures Office, setting up emergency for the local municipalities.  While in B.C. he worked closely with local fire and ambulance services in setting up mock disasters. 

            Dave has always been a part of new training systems and was one of the first to become involved when TDG and WHMIS were introduced in the 1980’s.  He has many years of experience in investigations for both accident prevention and regulatory enforcement.

            In 1996 he was one of the first Canadians to obtain certification as a mine safety professional (CMSP).  Dave has been a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering for many years and is active on the executive of the Northern Light chapter.

GEOFF MCCOMB: RSO, CRSP

            Geoff has a background in research, WHMIS administration, laboratory protocol and construction safety. He holds a certificate in Health, Safety and Environmental Processes from the University of New Brunswick.


TINA CRESSWELL

            Tina Cresswell comes from a background of communication and public relations.  She is an expert facilitator with a focus on action plans.  Tina has experience in writing materials and programs for diverse groups and is a trained adult educator.
